Ms. Janis Elaine Grace, age 54, of Chatsworth, GA, departed this life, Friday July 28, 2017 at UAB Hospital in Birmingham, AL. Janis was born December 7, 1962, the daughter of the late JoAnn Seay Thompson. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Valerie Ann Rich; brother, Carl Thompson.

Ms. Janis Elaine Grace is survived by her son, Troy (Meagan) Grace Jr, father, Henry Lee Thompson Sr, brothers, Henry (Carolyn) Thompson, Randy ( Ruthie) Thompson; sister, Marian (Calvin) Hogue; grandson, Chance Grace.

Services to celebrate the life of Ms. Janis Elaine Grace, will be held Tuesday August 1, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. from Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Jeff Johnson officiating. Burial will follow the service at Ponders Whitfield Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends Monday July 31, 2017 at Ponders Melrose Chapel from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and from 11:00 a.m. until the service hour on Tuesday.

Flowers will be accepted or contributions can be made towards the funeral expenses.
