Ms. Janie Ruth Tate, age, 67, of Calhoun, Georgia departed this life, Saturday, January 14, 2023, at Gordon Health Care in Calhoun, Georgia.  Janie was born April 6, 1955, in Calhoun, Georgia, a daughter of the late Joe Jefferson and Linnie Mae Long Tate.  She was also preceded in death by daughters, Shelia Baggett and Karen Baggett, brothers and sister-in-law, Jerry and Terina Tate and George Tate, sister and brothers-in-law, Kathy and Pete Shoemaker and Robert Banks.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Bobby Baggett, and Kelly Headrick; granddaughter, Miranda Maria Headrick all of Dalton, GA; brother, Randy Tate of Ranger, GA; sisters and brothers-in-law, Deborah Sue Young and Steve Ross of Ranger, GA, Joann and Estee Pass of Calhoun, GA, and Sherry Banks of Hawaii; several nieces and nephews.

Services to celebrate the life of Ms. Janie Ruth Tate will be held Thursday evening, January 19, 2023, at 7:00 p.m. at Ponders Calhoun Chapel with Reverend Terry Timms officiating.  The family will receive friends at Ponders Calhoun Chapel after 5:00 p.m. until the service hour.
