Mrs. Janice F. Rodgers, age 69, of Rocky Face, Georgia, departed this life Monday, June 9, 2014 at Ridgewood Manor surrounded by her loving family. Janice was born November 9, 1944 in Dalton, GA, a daughter of the late Hershel and Iris Ethel Hyde Grant. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Buck Rodgers, brother, Shelby Grant.

She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Scott Rodgers and Britt Hanson of Kennewick, WA, Jason and Kendra Rodgers of Cohutta, GA; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jerry and Annette Grant of Rocky Face, GA, Roger and Emaylee Grant of Dalton, GA; sisters and brothers-in-law, Ann and Bill Groves of Rocky Face, GA, Shirley and Ralph Ellis of Cleveland, TN, Linda and Dwight Kiker of Dawsonville, GA, Donna and Dan Combs of Rocky Face, GA, Diane McHan of Ringgold, GA; grandchildren, Skylar Tucker, Courtland Meyers, Hannah Rodgers, Brent Rodgers; several nieces and nephews.

Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Janice F. Rodgers will be held Thursday June 12, 2014 at 4:00 p.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel. Interment will follow in the West Hill Cemetery beside her husband. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations to be made to the Roan Street School 1116 Roan St. Dalton, GA 30721.
