Mrs. Janice Jenkins, age 75, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Sunday morning, June 02, 2013 at her residence. Janice was born November 4, 1937 in Dalton, GA, a daughter of the late Carl and Lola Patterson Barton. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Jerry Barton. She was a member of the Church of God of the Union Assembly. She loved to play the piano.

She is survived by her husband D.L. Jenkins; sons and daughter-in-law, David Lamar and Vicki Jenkins, Larry Tate; daughters, Sharon Ann Berheisel, Judy Lynn Jenkins all of Dalton, GA; ten grandchildren, seventeen grandchildren.

Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Janice Jenkins will be held Wednesday June 5, 2013 at 11:00 am from the Ponders Melrose Chapel. Interment will follow in the Whitfield Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Tuesday.
