Mrs. Janet "Lou" Kay McBee age 61, of Dalton, Ga, departed this life Monday, May 3, 2021, at Erlanger hospital. Janet was born May 25, 1959 in Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia, the daughter of the late Lloyd Glenn Wells and Bettye Marlene Franklin Wells. She was also preceded in death by Robert Ted Hoover Sr, the father of her children and special friend Kenneth Bell.

Janet is survived by her children, Robert (Rachel) Hoover Jr. of Dalton, Georgia, Jana ( Jason ) Kennedy of Chickamauga, Georgia, Jennifer Hayes of Rossville, Georgia; brother, James Wells of Lakeview Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia; sisters, Bobbie Wells Graham, Sharon ( Gary ) Jones of Texas, Elisa ( Bill ) Cooke of Clarksville, Tennessee, Amy Wells of Rock Springs, Georgia,  twin sister Janice Horne of Lakeview Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia, ; grandchildren, Brianna Hoover, Erin Wiley, Gia Scott, Owen Hayes, Ozzy Hayes, Olivia Hayes, Landon Hoover, Bailey Hoover, Kailey Hoover; great-grandchild on the way Ayden Wooten.

Service to celebrate the life of Janet "Lou" Kay McBee will be held, Friday May 7, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. from Ponders Brainerd Chapel with Pastor Pete Reed officiating. Interment will follow the service at Catoosa Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends Friday May 7, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. until the service of 2:00 p.m.

Due to the National health crisis and the Covid-19 virus, masks must be always worn properly, and social distancing must be observed when visiting the funeral home.
