Mr. James Allen Robinson age 70, of Cohutta, GA, departed this life Tuesday June 6, 2017 at the local hospital. James was born May 23, 1947 in Chattanooga, TN, a son of the late June and Ruby Robinson. He was also preceded in death by his son, Steve E. Robinson, brothers, Sonny, Daniel and Henry Lowery, mother-in-law and father-in-law, Reba H. and Carl D. Wilson.

He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Beth Robinson of the residence; brother, Ronald Robinson of Tunnel Hill, GA; son and daughter-in-law, Allen and Nikki Robinson of Dalton, GA; daughter, Toynie Robinson of Tunnel Hill, GA; sisters-in-law, Carlene Wilson of Tunnel Hill, GA, Kim Wilson of Chatsworth, GA; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, James and Linda Wilson of Tunnel Hill, GA, Glenn and Trenna Wilson of Crandall, GA, Creed and Stacy Wilson of Ringgold, GA; grandchildren, Ethan Robinson, Morgan and Alex Robinson, Hannah Causby, Danielle and Jon Dale, Crystal and Michail Kirby; great grandchildren, Aaron Robinson, Jase Kirby; special niece and nephew, Tiffany and Rodney Hilley.

Services to celebrate the life of Mr. James Allen Robinson will be held Friday June 9, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Lillard Stringer and Brother J.T. Sanders officiating. Interment will follow in the Gordy Memorial Gardens with Rodney Hilley, Matt Powell, Glenn Wilson, Ethan Robinson, Alex Robinson Michail Kirby, Jon Dale and Ben Whaley serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Thursday.
