Mr. James Stephen Moss, age 73, of Rome, Georgia, departed this life Monday, January 24, 2022 at the Floyd Medical Center. James was born on March 16, 1948 in Cartersville, Georgia, the son of the late James and Arlissie Hartsfield Moss. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Jack Moss, Gene Moss and sister Marie Holloway. James was preceded in death by his first grandson, Cameron Moss.

James was a mechanic by trade and worked at the Bailey Company. James had a passion for motorcycles.

James is survived by his wife, Tammy Moss; sons, Stephen (Rhonda Hill) Moss, James and Amy Moss all of Dalton, Georgia, Chad Brannon of Rome, Georgia; daughter, Angela "Shelley" Bailey of Dalton, Georgia; grandchildren, Mercedes Moss, Tyler Moss, Issac Moss, Matt Moss, Misty Stanley, Chloe Hill, Oliva Moss, Ayden Moss, Braydon Hill, Hudson Hill, Weston Hill, Able Linager, Cooper Layman, Casey McCullough, Abrel McCullough.

The service for James Stephen Moss will be held Monday January 31, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. from Ponders Melrose Chapel with Pastor Scott Parrish officiating.

The family will receive friends Monday January 31, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. til the service hour of 3:00 p.m. from Ponders Melrose Chapel.
