Mr. James F. Lock, age 83, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Friday, December 6, 2013 at his residence. James was born June 29, 1930 in Polk County, TN a son of the late Frank D. and Lucy Preswood Lock. He was also preceded in death by his grandson, Anthony Lock, brother Melvin Lock.

He is survived by his loving wife, Ovilee Thompson Lock of the residence; sons, Michael Lock, Dudley Lock, Rodney & Lynn Lock, Greg Lock all of Dalton, GA; sisters, Mae Lock, Gussie Grizzle, Mildred Clayton of Dalton, GA; ten grandchildren.

Services to celebrate the life of James F. Lock will be held Sunday December 8, 2013 at 4:00 P.M. from the Eleventh Avenue Baptist Church with Reverend Ronald Guffey and Reverend Robert Beavers officiating. Interment will follow in the United Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. Saturday.
