Mr. James Leslie "Les" Davenport age 71 of Dalton, Georgia departed this life Thursday June 20, 2019 at the local hospital. He was born August 8, 1947 in Baltimore, Maryland.

He is survived by his companion, Jane Moore Sneed of the residence; Godsons, Belton Johnson of Regina, Canada, Marcus Johnson of Starkville, MS, special friends, Wanda Pritchett, David and Karen Jolly, Pat and Silvia McCoy, Bob and Jennell Lemons, Chuck and Debra Harris, Gene and Claudia Miller, Judy and John Hitchens all of Dalton, GA; caregivers, Haley Silvers and Christina Cansler; and many other friends.

Memorial service will be held Sunday June 23, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. at the Christ Community Church. The family will receive friends at the church from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m.
