Mr. James "Jim" R. Joralemon II, age 88, of Chattanooga, TN, departed this life, Sunday April 29, 2018 at his home. Jim was born November 30, 1929 in Syracuse, New York, the son of the late, James R. Joralemon and Alice White Joralemon. Jim was a veteran of the United States Army from 1948 until 1968, he was in the Korean conflict and the Vietnam War and received the Bronze Star during Vietnam. Jim worked many years at Tappan Microwave in Dalton, GA.

Mr. James "Jim" R. Joralemon II is survived by his wife, Janice Gettens Joralemon, Jim and Janice were married September 1, 1966 and would have celebrated 53 years of marriage this September. Jim is also survived by his sons and their spouses, Bill and Sharon Mincks of London, England, James "J.J." and Polly Joralemon of Nashville, TN and Michael Mincks of Dalton, Ga; daughter, Jean Ott of Amburg, Germany; brother, John Joralemon of Chattanooga, TN; grandchildren, Dale Manley, Elliot Manley, Justin Manley, Ria Mincks and Alex Mincks all of London, England and  Susi and Stefan Ott of Amburg, Germany.

Mr. James "Jim" R. Joralemon will be laid to rest Thursday May 3, 2018 with full military rites at 9:30 a.m. from Chattanooga National Cemetery with his sons, Bill Mincks and J.J. Joralemon giving the eulogy.

In lieu of flowers the family asked that donations be made to Hospice of Chattanooga in remembrance of Jim.
