Mr. James Glenn Hughes, age 67, of Ringgold, Georgia, departed this life Thursday, June 29, 2017 in Reynolds, Georgia.

James was born January 3, 1950 in Ellijay, Georgia, a son of the late Charles Homer and Eunice Parham Hughes. He was also preceded in death by the mother of his daughter, Frances Hughes, brothers, Charles (Josh), Ronald and Donald Hughes and sisters, Martha Hughes and JoAnn Mayfield.

James loved hunting and fishing. He had a free and nomadic spirit and died at his hunting camp in Reynolds, Georgia.

He is survived by his daughter, Judy and David Autrey; grandson, Darren Hughes; great-granddaughter, Evelyn Hughes; brothers, John Hughes and Ida Henson of Ringgold, GA, Gene and Lula Belle Hughes of Ellijay, GA; sisters, Celia and Clifford West of Fairmount, GA, and Brenda Baker of Ellijay, GA; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Cremation services will be provided by Ponders Dalton Crematory and his cremains will be scattered at his beloved hunting camp.

It was at James request, no service to be held.
