Mr. James Daniel Holt, age 42, of Dalton, GA, departed this life Friday, June 22, 2018. He was born October 23, 1975 in Dalton, GA. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, James McRalph and Jewel Holt, Grady and Effie Stokes.

He is survived by his parents, Danny and Evelyn Holt of Dalton, GA; children, Daniel Eli Holt and Jasmine Holt of North Carolina; sister and brother-in-law, Brenda Buchanan and CJ Edmonds; nephew, Zachary Buchanan of Dalton, GA; several aunts, uncles, cousins and special friends.

Service to celebrate the life of Mr. James Daniel Holt will be held Wednesday June 27, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel. Interment will follow in the Varnell Cemetery with Raymond Cantrell, Zachary Buchanan, CJ Edmonds, Val Mellinchamp, Spenser Chartrand, Richard McNeese, James Stokes, and Shane Hackney serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
