Mr. James Francis Fowler, age 87, of Gainesville, GA, departed this life Saturday May 26, 2018. He was born January 28, 1931 in Sylva, NC, a son of the late Seab Reece and Lester Chandler Seab Reece Fowler. He was a 1949 graduate of Carnsville High School and received a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Georgia in 1958. He served from 1950 to 1954 in the US Air Force in the Korean War. He married his late wife Ann Joan Wheeler Fowler November 24, 1954. He was an active member of Grove Level Baptist Church.

He is survived by his children, Dana Fowler Miller, Charlotte Fowler Supe and her husband Michael Supe; grandchildren, Ansley Elizabeth Supe, Thomas Michael Aucoin; brothers and sisters; Lou Fowler Robinson of Athens, TN, Polly Fowler Holbrook of Huntsville, TX, Aubrey Reece Fowler of Stone Mountain, GA, Gene Sherril Fowler of Johnson City, TN, Kathryn Fowler Duggan of Long Island, NY; nieces and nephews.

Graveside service to celebrate the life of Mr. James Francis Fowler will be held Saturday June 2, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. from the Whitfield Memorial Gardens 710 W. Cuylor St Dalton, GA 30721.

American Legion Post 112 will be in Charge of Military Honors.
