Mr. James Luther Dills, age 71, of Tunnel Hill, Georgia, departed this life Tuesday, April 18, 2023, at the CHI Memorial Hospital of Chattanooga, Tennessee. He was born June 16, 1951 in Dalton, GA, a son of the late Hubert Theodore and Hattie Irene Higgins Dills. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Charlotte Lynn Lyles Dills, brother, John Dills, sisters, Jeanette Dills, Gwendlyon Hackney. He proudly served in the United States Army.

He is survived by his son, James Anthony Dills of Tunnel Hill, GA; daughter, Amber Dills of Chatsworth, GA.

Service to celebrate the life of Mr. James Luther Dills will be held Friday April 21, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel. Interment will follow in the Whitmire Cemetery at Dogwood Valley with American Legion Post 112 in charge of Military Honors. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Friday.
