Mr. James "Harold" Daves, age 91, of Ellijay, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Saturday morning, December 21, 2024, at his residence surrounded by his loving family.

He was born April 28, 1933, in Ellijay, Georgia a son of the late Avery and Irene Daves. He was also preceded in death by his wife Joanne Daves, brothers Dallas Daves, Howard Daves, sisters Georgia Painter, Dorothy Painter and Daughter Venita McCurdy.

James is known for his 34 years employment in the Quality Control Department with Chevrolet Gear and Axle in Detroit, Michigan and his entrepreneurial success with business start-ups after retiring from Chevrolet. James proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War Period. His Generosity to all and his love for family were but two of his many beloved characteristics.

James is survived by his sons George (Kimbali) Daves, of McDonald TN; James (Irene) Daves of Holly MI; James is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
