Mr. James Lee Croy, age 58, of Calhoun, Georgia, passed away Saturday, June 14, 2025, at AdventHealth Gordon.

Born on August 18, 1966, in Summerville, Georgia, James lived a life marked by struggle, resilience, redemption, and deep devotion to his loved ones. As a young man, James faced many challenges and endured a difficult past. Despite the shadows of his early life, James chose a path of transformation, working hard to rebuild and redefine his future.

James found peace in simple joys and strong values. He was a former truck driver for 7 Hills Transportation in Cartersville, Georgia, a job that suited his love of travel and the open road. He was a proud member of the Startin All Over Church, where he embraced faith and community as part of his journey of personal renewal.

An avid outdoorsman, James cherished time in nature and found great solace in riding his beloved Harley Davidson motorcycle. These moments brought him freedom, clarity, and happiness. He was fiercely devoted to his family—protective, present, and proud. His greatest joy was spending time with those he loved.

James was preceded in death by the one true love of his life, Tina Croy; sister-in-law, Amy Croy; aunts, Diane Croy, Bonnie Lou Allmon, Bobbie Goss; and his grandparents, Allen Lester and Ada Katherine Thompson Croy, Sr., and Cecil Earl and Ethel Mae Johns Allmon.

He is survived by his son, Joshua James and Tiffany Croy of Calhoun, GA; daughters, Nicole Lynn Croy of Calhoun, GA, Amanda Gail and Cody Parker, Beverely Dianne and Buddy Phillips all of Dalton, GA, and Cassandra Croy of Rome, GA; parents, Herschel Lee and Linda Sue Allmon Croy of Resaca, GA; brother, Mark Croy and Jennifer Mitchell of Calhoun, GA; aunts and uncles, Robert Croy of Missouri, Jimmy and Janice Croy of Centre, AL, Earl Allmon of Siblinga, GA, Gary Richard Allmon of Lylerly, GA, Judy Marlene Shaw of Villanow, GA, and Ethel and Ted Dewberry of Summerville, GA; niece and nephew, Ashley and Joseph Young of Resaca, GA; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.

Services to celebrate the life of Mr. James Lee Croy will be held Saturday afternoon, June 21, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Ponders Calhoun Chapel, with Reverend Wiley Walden officiating. In honor of his love for the road, James will take his final ride in the Ponders Harley Hearse to his resting place at Chandler Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Ponders Calhoun Chapel from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, and again on Saturday morning beginning at 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service.
