Mr. James Henry Bean, age 78, of Cohutta, GA, departed this life, Thursday October 10, 2019 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born July 28, 1941 in Chattanooga, TN, the son of the late WD and Irene Case Bean. He was also preceded in death by his son, James Henry Bean Jr., grandson, Robert Alan Defore, great granddaughter, Christa Belle Defore.

He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Wanda Bayless Bean of the residence; special daughter, Annalisa Defore; daughters and son-in-law, Barbara Ann Bean of Cohutta, GA, Cindy and Zach Hopkins of Dalton, GA; sons and daughters-in-law, Jerry and Cheryl Bean of Ringgold, GA, Gene and Sonja Bean of Tuscola, IL; brother and sister-in-law, Melvin and Carolyn Bean of Ringgold, GA; nine grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Service to celebrate the life of Mr. James Henry Bean will be held Sunday October 13, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. from Ponders Melrose Chapel with Mike Maloney and Kevin White officiating. Interment will follow in the United Memorial Gardens with Jerry Bean, Gene Bean, David Bean, Dewayne Johnson, and Kale Hopkins serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearer will be Robert Defore.

The family will receive friends Saturday October 12, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. from Ponders Melrose Chapel.
