Mr. James Michael "Mike" Heath, age 40, of Plainville, Georgia, departed this life Thursday, September 14, 2017 at his home. Mike was born April 5, 1977 in Rome, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his mother, Clara Mae Massingill Heath and a sister, Laura Mae Heath.

He is survived by his father and step-mother, James and Jeanette Heath; sister, Addie Heath; brothers and sister-in-law, David Massingill all Calhoun, GA, and Dwayne and Patsy Massingill of Resaca, GA; brother-in-law, Tony Holder of Calhoun, GA; nephews, Brandon Massingill, Matthew Holder, Jordan Massingill, Joshua Massingill and Kyle Heath; niece, Kendra Bishop; great-niece, Kiyah Heath; several aunts, uncles and many friends.

Services to celebrate the life of Mr. James Michael "Mike" Heath will be held Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. at Ponders Calhoun Chapel. He will be laid to rest beside his mother and sister at West Union Baptist Church Cemetery with Paul Stephens, Brian Roberts, Billy Jack Massingill, Chris Massingill, Daniel Massingill, Josh Massingill Jordan Massingill and David Massingill serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends at Ponders Calhoun Chapel after 10:00 a.m. Wednesday until the service hour.
