Mrs. Jacqueline Yvonne Peavy, 72, of Calhoun, Georgia, departed this life Thursday afternoon, March 5, 2020 at Gordon Health Care in Calhoun.

Mrs. Peavy was born in Wilmington, North Carolina on November 29, 1947.  She was a daughter of the late John Thornton and Ruby Roberta Jackson.  In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by a grandson, Shea Bell.

She is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Kim and Maurice Rue of Cohutta, and Meleah Bell of Calhoun; her granddaughter, Bobbi Rae Williams of Calhoun; and a sister, Judy Thornton Hall of Dalton.

To fulfill Mrs. Peavy's wish she will be cremated and no formal services will be held.
