Mr. Jacob Daniel Theis, age 26, of Tunnel Hill, Georgia, departed this life Thursday morning, November 23, 2017 at his home. Jacob was born October 4, 1991 in Dalton, Georgia, he was preceded in death by his mother, April Farmer Theis, October 8, 1991 and his father, Gary A. Theis, September 3, 2004, also his grandfathers, Gary Theis, Sr., and Larry Farmer, his great grandparents, Margie and Elmer Witherow, Woodrow and Pauline Helton, Joseph and Mildred Theis,Glenn Farmer, and Jim Brookshire.

Jacob was a 2009 graduate of Cedar Valley School and attended the Corner Stone Family Church in Dawnville, GA. He loved walking, working out, history and the Tennessee Vols. Jacob was one of the kindest and most gentle souls, he always had a smile on his face even though he has been through so much in his short twenty-six years of his life on this earth. He is spending his first thanksgiving with his mom and dad for the first time in thirteen years. We love you Jacob more than words can expressthis is not good bye but until we see each other again "my boy".

He is survived by his sister, Allie Theis of Hixon, TN; grandparents, Christine Theis of Tunnel Hill, GA, Evelyn and Ronald Harmon of Chatsworth, GA; great-grandmother, Wilena Brookshire of Dalton, GA; uncles and aunts, Marty Farmer of Chatsworth, GA, Joel and Kim Theis of Cohutta, GA, Audra and Jerry Leopard, Jeremy and Laura Harmon all of Chatsworth, GA; cousins, Zachary Theis and Caroline Theis.

Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Jacob Daniel Theis will be held Monday, November 27, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Lynn Hayes officiating. He will be laid to rest at the New Hope Cemetery in New Hope, Tennessee.

The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel after 12:00 p.m. noon Monday until the service hour.
