Mr. Jacob Andrew Minjarez, age 22, of Tunnel Hill, Georgia, departed this life Tuesday November 11, 2014 from injuries sustained in an automobile-pedestrian accident. Jacob was born June 1, 1992 in Dalton, Georgia. He was a 2013 graduate of Morris North Star.

He is survived by his mother, Margarita Duarte Minjarez; father, Luis Manuel Minjarez; grandparents, Desiderio and Cristina Duarte and Manuel and Bertha Minjarez; sisters, Ana Lorena Minjarez, Rosalia Minjarez and Effie Minjarez; brothers, Luis Alberto Minjarez and Marco Miguel Minjarez; ten aunts and four uncles and many cousins.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday morning, November 14, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Saint Joseph Catholic Church with Father Duvan Gonzalez officiating. He will be laid to rest at the Whitfield Memorial Gardens with Jose Duarte, Andrew Duarte, Marcos Duarte, Luis Duarte and Garry Holmes and Alejandro Azua serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Thursday.
