Mrs. Jackie Quarles Williams, age 78, of Cohutta, Georgia, departed this life Sunday April 21, 2024, at the local hospital.

Jackie was born September 4, 1945, in Gilmer County, Georgia, a daughter of the late Harrison Glenn and Opal Pankey Quarles. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Bert K. Williams, her first husband and father of her children, Dowell Daniels, an infant son, Gary Wayne Daniels, and her sisters and brother-in-law, Willene Walls, and Christine and Clyde Huitt.

She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Ann Hart; sons, Kenny Daniels and Scotty Daniels all of Cohutta, GA; brother-in-law, Marion "Sam" Walls of Chatsworth, GA; grandchildren, Joshua and Julie Waller, Jacob and Jessica Whaley, Kelsey Daniels, Nick Daniels, Hunter Daniels, Jessica Daniels, Logan Daniels, Tristan Daniels, and Brandon Rounsaville; great-grandchildren, Rylie Waller, Breelynn Waller, Sydney Waller, Cierra Waller, Dylan Waller, Emily Whaley, Taylor Whaley, Brooklyn Godfrey and Adley Hicks; several other great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many cousins.

Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Jackie Quarles Williams will be held Thursday, April 25, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Glenn Arnold and Joshua Waller officiating.   She will be laid to rest with her parents at Ridgeway Baptist Church Cemetery in Gilmer County, Georgia, with Joshua Waller, Jacob Whaley, Michael Perry, Zachary Walls, Robert Brown and Darrell Thomas honored to serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel from 5:00 p.m. 9:00 p.m. Wednesday and after 11:00 a.m. Thursday until the service hour.
