Mr. Jackie Lynn Rolen, age 58, of Dalton, Georgia, passed away peacefully in his sleep at PruittHealth Shepherd Hills in Lafayette Tuesday morning, April 30, 2024. Jackie was born October 9, 1965 and lived in Dalton all his life.
Jackie is predeceased by his father, Jack Rolen, his stepfather, Hubert Sanford, grandfather, Mervis Gilbert, grandfather, Jake Rolen and grandmother, Alma Rolen and brother, Chuck Sanford. He was also preceded in death by his precious dog, Ms. Black.
Jackie is survived by his mother, Charlotte Sanford;  grandmother (Granny), Isabelle Gilbert who was his most favorite person in the whole world; brothers and sisters, Sharon (Terry) White, Kelly (Evon) Haynes, Tommy (Susan) Sanford, Shelah (Ernie) Hall, Thomas Hodge, Regina Kurtz, Daniel Rolen, Jeremie Rolen; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Jackie was the number one fan of Elvis Presley and loved to dress in Elvis costumes. He also loved to sing, play his guitar and fish, fish, fish. Jackie was bound to a wheelchair his last few years of life and loved to run the halls at PruittHealth where he gave everyone from housekeeping to the director a run for their money.

Service to celebrate the life of Jackie Lynn Rolen will be held Saturday May 4, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. from Ponders Melrose Chapel 138 Melrose Drive, Dalton, Georgia, 30721 with Reverend Isaac Johns officiating. He will be laid to rest at Brock Cemetery with Reverend Dwayne Payne officiating the committal service. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Mark McCurdy will be honored to sing. Pallbearers will be Eddie Baynes, Grayson Pruitt, Colby Cook, Howard Sanford, Jerry Reddix, and Stevie (Bugs)Reddix.
The family would like to thank everyone at PruittHealth Shepherd Hills for taking care of and loving Jackie.
