Mr. Jack Anthony "Tony" McClure, age 77, of Chatsworth, GA, departed this life, Thursday, January 5, 2017 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Tony was born April 4, 1939 in Canton, GA, a son of the late Reuben and Lona Southern McClure.

He is survived by his wife Alva Jean McClure of the residence, son and daughter-in-law, Steven and Angelia McClure of Cohutta, GA, daughter and son in law, Cynthia and David Tankersley of Chatsworth GA; grandchildren: Joshua Ellis of Chatsworth and Nicholas McClure of Cohutta, GA.

Service to celebrate the life of Mr. Jack McClure will be held Monday January 9, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Billy Parker officiating. He will be laid to rest at the Ponders Whitfield Memorial Gardens with family and friends serving as pall bearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 pm to 9:00pm on Sunday evening and Monday from 12:00 noon until the service hour.
