Mr. Jack Green, age 83, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Monday morning, December 25, 2023 at the local hospital surrounded by his loving family.  Jack was born May 3, 1940 in Dalton, Georgia, a son of the late, William Floyd "Bo" and Nina Jo Gray Green.  He was also preceded by his brothers, Carl Green, Tommy Green, Henry Gray, sisters, Margie Hampton, Myrtle Lee Porter, Charlene Bagley his father-in-law and mother-in-law, George Thomas and Nan D. Henderson Brown.

He is survived by his loving wife of fifty-four years, Eddress Green of the residence; daughter and son-in-law, Krista and Mark Dooley of Resaca, GA; grandson, Bo and Ashley Dooley of Resaca, GA; great granddaughter, Briar Dooley; sisters-in-law, Carol Green of Dalton, GA, Shirley Green of Chatsworth, GA, Carol Gray of Cleveland, TN, several nieces and nephews.

Service to celebrate the life of Mr. Jack Green will be held Thursday December 28, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. Interment will follow in the Ponders Whitfield Memorial Gardens and Mausoleum.
