Mr. Isam Eugene Townsend, age 93, of Macon, Georgia, departed this life Friday evening January 31, 2025 at his residence, surrounded by his loving family. He was born July 18, 1931 in Ranger, GA, a son of the late Isam Mathew and Esther Roberts Townsend. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.

He is survived by his wife of 74 years, Alma Sue Townsend of the same residence; daughters and son-in-law, Marsha and William Birdsong of Gordon, GA, Rhonda Sue Milliken of Macon, GA; sister, Betty Romine of Ryo Community; grandchildren, Lea Birdsong and Chris Nelson, Drew Birdsong and Alex Bell, Matthew Milliken; great grandchildren, Nathan, Jaxon, Ivy; several nieces and nephews he loved very much.

Service to celebrate the life of Mr. Isam Eugene Townsend will be held Monday February 3, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. from the Ponders Fairmount Chapel with Reverend Jerrold Young officiating. Interment will follow in the Ryo Baptist Church Cemetery with Chris Nelson, Alex Bell, Nathan Bell, Jaxon Bell, Bradley Mealer and Craig Mealer serving as pallbearers, The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Sunday.
