Mr. Hubert Henry "Hub" Boggus, Jr., age 82, of Dalton, Georgia departed this life, Friday, January 20, 2023, at the local hospital.  Hub was born February 10, 1940, in Rome, Georgia.

Hub was a 1957 graduate of Dalton High School and received his electrical engineering degree from Georgia Tech.  He was a member of Emory Baptist Church for many years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Hubert H. Boggus, Sr., and Myra Billie Boggus and his brother, Bill Boggus.

He is survived by his beloved wife of fifty-three years, Theresa Jones Boggus of the residence; daughter and son-in-law, Shari and Don Johnson of Crossville, TN; sons and daughter-in-law, Bryan Foster of Dalton, GA, and Douglas and Paige Foster of Atlanta, GA; grandchildren, Amber Johnson, Logan Foster, Chelsea Looney, Daniel Foster, and Britney Foster; sister, Myra Beth Dempsey of Rome, GA; five great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Hubert Henry "Hub" Boggus, Jr., will be held Tuesday, January 24, 2023 at 12:00 p.m. Noon at Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Jeff Wilson officiating. He will be laid to rest with his family at Ponders Whitfield Memorial Gardens and Mausoleum with Ben Looney, Daniel Foster, Jeff Townsend, Norman Memory and Jay Memory honored to serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel after 11:00 a.m. Tuesday until the service hour.
