Mr. Hubert Lee Chance, age 77, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Thursday, January 11, 2018 at Dalton Place. Hubert was born March 14, 1940 in Murray County, GA, a son of the late Harlie L. and Venna Mae Arnold Chance. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Wanda Pat Chance, daughter, Tabatha Lee Ann Chance, brother, Roye Chance, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Ernest and Juanita Lewallen, Louis and R.P. Lewis, Clayton Timms, Oletha Chance, Margie Chance, nephew, Marty Harrod. He was a Deacon of the Welcome Hill Baptist Church.

He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, June and Michael Dean of Dalton, GA; grandchildren, Joshua and Vanessa Dean, Jason Smith, Rebekah and Nate Conner, Clifford Smith; great grandchildren, Addison, Cason and Jordyn Conner, Gideon Dean; brothers and sisters-in-law, Raymon and Melba Chance, Rayson Chance, Odean Chance, David and Snookie Chance, Charlene Timms; sisters and brothers-in-law, Frances and Bradley Mathis, Linda and Lloyd Thomason, Marlene and Jeff Jones, Darlene and David Lucus, numerous nieces and nephews.

Service to celebrate the life of Mr. Hubert Lee Chance will be held Saturday January 13, 2018 at 12:00 p.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Randy Postell and Reverend Travis Martin officiating. Burial will follow in the West Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at funeral home from 10:30 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Saturday.
