Mr. H.L. Patterson, age 69, of Rocky Face, Georgia, departed this life Thursday evening August 22, 2013 at the local hospital. He was born April 20, 1944 in Chatsworth, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his father, Lawrence Patterson, his mother and step-father, Will Dee and Frank Scoggins, his sisters, Mildred Giddens and Wanda Giddens.

He is survived by his wife, Virginia Call; children, Jimmy Patterson, Bud Max Wells, Dwight Wells, Ben Wells, Tony Call, Tracy Call and Sandra Parker; brother, J.B. Patterson; brother, Danny Scoggins; sisters, Patricia Shelton, Frankie Perry, Judy Smith, Sharon Smith and Johnnie Patterson; several nieces and nephews.

Services to celebrate the life of Mr. H.L. Patterson will be held Tuesday August 27, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend James Watts officiating. He will be laid to rest at the Colonial Hills Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel from 12:00 p.m. Tuesday until the service hour.
