Mr. Herman Mark Alston, age 67, of Acworth, Georgia, departed this life Tuesday morning, June 18, 2024, at Gordon Health Care in Calhoun, GA. He was born November 1, 1956 in Towns County, GA. He was preceded in death by his father Guy Eller, wife Debbie Alston, father-in-law and mother-in-law, Hubert and Dorothy Bates.

He is survived by his mother, Cora Eller of Hiawassee, GA; son and daughter-in-law, Jeremy and Sarah Alston; grandsons, Gibson and Hudson Alston of Adairsville, GA; brother, Jeff Eller and Michelle Speed of Hiawassee, GA; sisters and brothers-in-law, Lisa and Randy Garrett of North Carolina, Debbie and Kevin Crooks, Teresa and Ricky Moss of Hiawassee, GA; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Russell And Kim Bates of Emerson, GA; nieces and nephews.

Service will be held Saturday June 22, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. from the Ponders Calhoun Chapel with Kevin Crooks officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m.

A church service will be held Saturday June 22, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. at the Mt. Pleasant Church of God in Hiawassee, GA. Interment will follow in the Boyd's Chapel Cemetery.
