Mr. Steve H. McNabb better known as "Shorty" age 58 of Dalton, GA, departed this life Thursday August 23, 2018 at the local hospital. He was born February 13, 1960 in Fairmount, GA, a son of the late F.H. McNabb and Mattie Lou Mathis McNabb. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Linda McNabb, brother, Frank McNabb, sister, Aliene Broom. Shorty was a heavy equipment operator for the Dalton Public Works for 18 years.

He is survived by his wife, Vickie McNabb of the residence; sons and daughters-in-law, Steven Cordell and Mikaila McNabb of Tunnel Hill, GA, Tyler Mays and Kacey Rogers, Jake and Ashley Raburn, Jeremiah and Janell Hewitt of Dalton, GA; daughters and sons-in-law, Christy and David Lee of Ringgold, GA, Heather Patterson and Ronald Ledford of Cherry Log, GA, Nichole and Clark Baggett of Chatsworth, GA, Heather and Robbie Randolph of Dalton, GA; brothers and sisters-in-law, Garry Sr. and Chris McNabb of Okeechobee, FL, Fletcher and Kim McNabb of Dalton, GA; sister and brother-in-law, Louise and Jessie Wheat of Dalton, GA; several grandchildren, grandpuppies, nieces and nephews.

Service to celebrate the life of Mr. Steve H. McNabb will be held Monday August 27, 2018 at 12:00 p.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Pastor Tommy Jenkins officiating. Interment will follow in the Harmony Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with Tyler Mays, Cordell McNabb, Jeremiah Hewitt, Jake Raburn, Canaan Stepp, Damien Waters, Rickey McNabb and G.L. McNabb serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday and Sunday from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.
