Ms. Helen Ruth Williams, age 74, of Dalton, GA, departed this life Friday January 5, 2018. Helen was born December 26, 1943 in Dalton, Ga, the daughter of the late Hubert Holcomb and Selma Morgan Gwinn. She was also preceded in death by her son, Bert Bennett, brothers, Jack Womac and Bobby Holcomb. She was an avid gardener and a member of the Georgia Tribe of Eastern Cherokee.

She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Roy and Carla Gentry, Ben and Renee Bennett of Dalton, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Doug Higdon of Sugar Valley, GA; sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Danny Gwinn of Ohio; six grandchildren, ten great grandchildren.

Memorial service to celebrate the life of Ms. Helen Ruth Williams will be held, Saturday January 13, 2018 at 4:00 p.m. from Ponders Melrose Chapel. The family will receive friends Saturday January 13, 2017 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
