Helen Disney Neal Huggins, 78 of Eustis, FL, passed away March 20th at Bayview Center in Eustis, FL. She was born February 11,1946, in Dalton, GA, the daughter of the late Tom and Louise Disney. She faithfully served alongside her late husband, John Huggins for many years at Pinecrest Baptist Church in McDonough, GA. She loved God, studying His word, and dearly loved the Joymakers Sunday School Class at Pinecrest. She was an avid reader, loved anything purple & cats, and playing Scrabble & card games. Upon her move to FL to live with her daughter and son in law, she came to tolerate the crazy adventures Katrina got her into. She was loved by so many wonderful ladies in 2 special ladies bible study groups here in FL. She enjoyed spoiling her grand dog Doodle and grand cat Oreo rotten.
Helen is survived by her Son, Tony Neal Jr. (Son of Tony Neal, Sr that preceded her in death) of Dalton, GA, Daughter, Katrina (Wes) Redman of Tavares, FL, Daughter in Love Martha Huggins of Ashford, AL; Grandsons Lane Redman of Lynchburg, VA, Chadley Huggins of Chatsworth, GA, David (Paige) Espanet of Pocahontas, TN, Chris (Ashley) Espanet of Selmer, TN Granddaughters Kari (Jon) Austin of San Diego, CA, Callie (Will) Molock of Tupelo, MS, Krystal (Nick McCarver) Espanet of Coldwater, MS;
11 great grandchildren; and by numerous other family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, John Huggins; Son Chris Huggins; Parents, Tom and Louise Disney; Brothers Dale and David Disney; and her beloved cat Mixon.
Helen will be laid to rest with her husband, at Ponders Colonial Hills Cemetery, Dalton, GA.
Celebration of life and committal service will be Tuesday, March 26, 2024, at 2:00 pm EST. at Ponders Melrose Chapel 138 Melrose Drive Dalton, GA 30721, with Rev. Reece Fauscett officiating. The family will receive visitors from 12:00 pm -2:00 pm EST prior to the service.
