Mrs. Helen Ruth Jones, age 78, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Friday evening July 3, 2015 at her home. She was born October 26, 1936 in Murphy, North Carolina, a daughter of the late Lewis and Etna Mason Stiles. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Harrold Jones, sons, Payton, ML, and Wayne Jones.
She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Carroll and Brenda Stiles of Copper Hill, GA; sisters and brother-in-law, Lewis and Brenda Harris of McCaysville, GA.; sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy and Gary McPherson, Hilda Beard of Cleveland, TN, Shirley and Hubert Wimpy of Dalton, GA; grandchildren, Payton Jones, Tiffanie Jones, Tyler Jones; great grandchildren, Lily Ayers, Emma Palmer; companion, Mark Toney of Dalton, GA; several nieces and nephews.
Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Helen Ruth Jones will be held Thursday July 9, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Gary McPherson officiating. Interment will follow in the West Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Thursday.
