Mrs. Helen Louise Eleton, age 89, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Tuesday afternoon January 6, 2015 at her home surrounded by her family. Helen was born July 17, 1925 in Bowie County, Texas a daughter of the late James Madison and Gertrude Algerine Turner Langford. She was also preceded in death by her husband Roscoe Eleton, sister, Estelle Franks and brothers, Travis, Homer, Grady, Oscar, Lois and Alvin Langford. Helen was a lifelong member of The Church of God of The Union Assembly.

She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Ray and Sonja Hall of Dalton, GA, Roger and Brenda Hall of Geneva, OH; daughter, Joyce Hall of Portland, ME; grandchildren, Nicholas A. Hall, Demerias Hall, Rachelle Shirah, Selina Hall, Lisa Barnett and Jamie G. Hall; eight great-grandchildren; brothers and sister-in-law, Curtis and Leda Faye Langford of Vivian, LA, David Langford of Texarkana, TX; special nieces and nephews, Mary and Ed Hall, Edna and Reggie Gazaway; step-children, Barbara Nicholson, Earl Eleton both of Dalton, GA, and Donnie Eleton and Frankie Eleton of Florida; special friend, Cathy Baines; several nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Helen L. Eleton will be held Saturday, January 10, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at The Church of God of The Union Assembly with Reverend Lonnie Starnes and Reverend Pratt Hughes officiating. She will be laid to rest at the West Hill Cemetery with her grandsons serving pallbearers.

The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Friday and after 10:00 a.m. Saturday until the service hour.
