Mr. Haskel Douglas Hayes age 80 of Rocky Face, Georgia, departed this life Thursday May 30, 2019 at his residence. He was born December 22, 1938 in Cookeville, TN a son of the late Marion and Estelle Hayes. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Lois Earlene Caldwell Hayes, sisters and brother-in-law, Mildred and Jack Spence, Anna Painter.

He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Debra and Don Tison of Alpharetta, GA; sons and daughters-in-law, Darryl Hayes of Rocky Face, GA, David and Brenda Hayes of Chatsworth, GA, Dewayne and Nesha Hayes of Dalton, GA; brothers and sisters-in-law, Joe and Diane Hayes of Dalton, GA, Dennis and Rachel Hayes of Rocky Face, GA, Ralph and Hazel Hayes of Chatsworth, GA, John and Connie Hayes of Ball Ground, GA, Marshall and Cinda Hayes of Ellijay, GA, Aaron and Patricia Hayes of Chatsworth, GA; sisters, Shirley Hayes, Carolyn Hayes of Dalton, GA; eight grandchildren, four great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

Service to celebrate the life of Mr. Haskel Douglas Hayes will be held Monday June 3, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. in the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Charles Carnes officiating. Interment will follow in the Ponders Whitfield Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Sunday.
