Mr. Harvey Patterson, age 74, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Thursday, April 9, 2015 at his home. Harvey was born April 30, 1940 in Anderson County, Tennessee, a son of the late William and Dellah Patterson. He was also preceded in death by his daughter's, Jerri Melissa "Missy" Headrick and Tammy Buchanon and a brother-in-law, Luther Cooper.

He is survived by his loving wife of fifty-two years, Lois Cooper Patterson of the home; son and daughter-in-law, Matt and Melissa Patterson of Villanow, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Brian Mays of Rocky Face, GA; brothers, Granville Patterson of Chatsworth, GA, C.L. Patterson, Arvil Patterson and Johnny Patterson all of Anderson County, TN; sisters and brothers-in-law, Daisy and Howard Turner, Mary and Allen Caylor all of Dalton, GA, Mabel Cooper and Bonnie Kennedy both of Anderson County, TN; 10 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Harvey Patterson will be held Monday, April 13, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Ponders Melrose Chapel with Minister Matt Patterson and Pastor Wayne Cofield officiating. Entombment will follow in the Resurrection Mausoleum at Colonial Hills Memorial Park Cemetery. His close family and friends will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Sunday and after 11:00 a.m. Monday until the service hour.
