Mr. Harry Melvin Fry, age 96, of Dalton, GA, passed away Wednesday September 21, 2016 at his residence. Harry was born October 16, 1919 in Trenton, New Jersey, a son of the late Harry Samuel and Margaret Cody Fry. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Helen Edith Fry, daughters, Melissa Ann Fry and Laurel L. Fry. He proudly served his country in the United States Military during WWII.

He is survived by his wife, Kathryn Weaver Fry of the residence, daughters, Denise Weaver, Amy Weaver Akins; grandson, Andrew Blue Akins all of Dalton, GA.

Service to celebrate the life of Mr. Harry Melvin Fry will be held Sunday September 25, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. from the Grace Presbyterian Church with Pastor David Eades and Elder Rob Woodard officiating. Entombment will follow at the Ponders Whitfield Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the church from 1:30 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. I lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Alzheimer's Associations or Grace Presbyterian Church in Dalton, GA.
