Mr. Harrison Benjamin Norton, Jr., better known as Junior, age 80, of Blue Ridge, GA , passed away on September 3, 2021 in Austell, GA. Born in Fannin County, GA, he was the son of the late Harrison Benjamin Norton, Sr. and Bertie Seabolt Norton. Junior was a faithful employee to Shaw Industries for 47 years. He was also of the Baptist faith. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Ellen Gooch Norton; sisters, Grace Patterson, Ruth Johnson, Shirley and her husband J.T. Deaton.

Survivors include his sisters and brothers-in-law, Beulah and Jerry Cooper of Ellijay, GA, Donnie Norton of Blue Ridge, GA, Rosetta and Troy Kyle of Flowery Branch, GA; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jessie Norton of Ringgold, GA, Albert and Janice Norton of Blairsville, GA, Jerry and Diane Norton and Jim and Hilda Norton both of Blue Ridge, GA; special caregiver, Liz Bucy; and a host nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, September 6, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of the Akins Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Williams officiating. Interment will follow in the Sugar Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Travis Norton, John McClure, William McClure, Isaac McClure, Butch Anderson and Darell Cruse.
