Mr. Harold Leroy Denton, age 68 of Tunnel Hill, Georgia, departed this life Friday April 26, 2019 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born February 7, 1951 in Roane County, Tennessee, a son of the late Roy and Louise Denton. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Bonnie Childs Ponders, brothers, Gene, Donald and Willard Denton, niece, Janet Flores, nephew, Kevin Denton.

He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Rosie Denton of the residence; five children, David Denton of Dalton, GA, Danny and Becky Denton of Copperhill, TN, Jason and Tangie Denton of McDonald, TN, Kathy Denton of Tunnel Hill, GA, Amanda and Adam McCalley of Tunnel Hill, GA; sister and brother-in-law, Bobbie and Bill Stanley of Intercession, FL; sister-in-law, Rhonda Denton of Varnell, GA; nine  grandchildren, three great grandchildren and two more on the way; several nieces and nephews.

Service to celebrate the life of Mr. Harold Leroy Denton will be held Tuesday April 30, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Pastor John Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in the Po0nders Colonial Hills Memorial Park Cemetery with Chad Denton, Todd Brown, Dennis Long, John Johnson, Michael Trammell, and Adam McCalley serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Monday and after 11:00 a.m. Tuesday until the service hour.
