Mr. Harold Franklin Caldwell, age 76, of Cohutta, Georgia, departed this life, Saturday, May 25, 2024, at the local hospital. He was born July 3, 1947, in Dalton, GA, a son of the late Charlie Franklin and Ruby Jackson Caldwell. He was also preceded in death by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, William Ellis and Phyllis Ellis. He proudly served his country in the United States Army.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 40 years, Denise Caldwell of the residence; daughters and sons-in-law, Brooke and William McMurray of Charleston, SC, Michelle and Randal Burnam of Dalton, GA; grandchildren, Elle McMurray, Jaelle Burnam, Abigail Burnam; special friend, Shaun Martin of Ringgold, GA; several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

A Celebration of life service will be held Saturday, June 29, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at the Varnell Church (formerly the Varnell United Methodist Church). 3485 GA Hwy 2, Cohutta, Georgia. Service will be in the courtyard (weather permitting) with Pastor James Gwin Officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 10:00 a.m. until service hour.
