Hank crossed the rainbow bridge on Tuesday, November 5, 2024 in his mommy's arms following a brief illness. Hank was rescued from a kill shelter mere hours before he was to be put to death. Paw Angels Rescue INC., near Calhoun had shared his photo to Facebook in the hopes that someone would step up to foster and save his life. Although, mom and dad were recovering from a motorcycle accident at the time, it was love at first sight. On September 19,2019, Paw Angels rushed to the shelter, broke him out, then drove him to his new home. God truly had a plan when he put us in each other's path. We truly feel as though we healed each other's soul. Hank was the sweetest, most lovable soul. We can only pray that 5 years and 46 days was enough time to spoil him enough for him to forget the cruelty of his past. Hank never met a stranger. Some of his favorite things in life were, pets, kisses, snacks, and snuggles. He loved living the lake life and relaxing in the recliner with mom and dad, or sneaking into Granny and Pappy's camper for late night snacks. Hank was preceded in death by his furry siblings Stubby and Penny. He is survived by his furry siblings Sydney, Whiskers, Harley, Jackie Blu, Stumpy, and Bobby McGee. His parents Billy and Elizabeth Wilbanks and the entire family are mourning the loss of the goodest boy in the world. We are comforted in knowing God has a plan for all his beautiful creatures, so we know that Hank is walking those beautiful streets, eating the best snacks, and getting all the kisses he wants while he waits for us.
