Ms. Gwilda Ann Kiker Gribble, age 89,  a lifetime resident of Dalton, Georgia and lived in the Redwine Cove Community, departed this life Wednesday morning June 7, 2023, surrounded by her loving family at the home of her son in Gordon County, Georgia. Gwilda was born May 22, 1934 in Whitfield County, Georgia. She was a 1952 graduate of Valley Point High School and worked many years in the accounting department at Georgia Sample Book.

Gwilda received her ultimate healing when she went home to be with Jesus. She loved serving the Lord, spending time with her family and and making a garden. She was a member of First Assembly of God where she served as Sunday school teacher, choir director and a gospel group member. She loved playing piano and singing to the Lord.

Gwilda was preceded in death by her only daughter, Andrea D. Knight, her father, Frank Kiker, mother and step-father, Maggie Gazaway Parker and H.S. Parker, sister, Barbara Morgan, her first husband, William Donald Gribble, second husband, Joshua L. "Jay" McCarty, and a nephew Don and Jackie Morgan.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Kim Gribble of Calhoun, GA; son-in-law, Larry Knight of Calhoun, GA; grandchildren, Chris and Stephanie Gribble of Rocky Face, GA, Ethan and Savanah Knight, Andrew and Abigail Gribble of Calhoun, GA; great-grandchildren, Logan Johnson and Dallas Gribble; special god daughter, Janet and Mike Byrne of Dalton, GA; nephews, Chuck and Darlene Morgan, Scott and Cindy Morgan; many close cousins, and very special friends.

Services to celebrate the life of Ms. Gwilda Ann Kiker Gribble will be held Monday, June 12, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Ted Miller officiating.  She will be laid to rest with her family at the Cove Methodist Church Cemetery with Chris Gribble, Ethan Knight, Andrew Gribble, Chuck Morgan, Scott Morgan and Don Bradford honored to serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Sunday and after 11:00 a.m. Monday until the service hour.
