Mrs. Gwennell Parson Palmer, age 77, of Chatsworth, Georgia, entered into rest, Friday November 30, 2018 at Hamilton Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. Gwennell was born May 20, 1941 in Murray County, Georgia, a daughter of the late Winston N. "Wince" and Ollie Magnolia Wimpey Parson.  She was also preceded in death by her sisters and brothers-in-law, Wince and Dorothy Parson, Geneva Signer, Mary and Billy Ray, Connie Clark, a brother, Marvin Parson, and brother-in-law, Larry McBrayer.

She is survived by her devoted husband of fifty-five years, John Perry Palmer of the residence; sisters and brothers-in-law, Martha and Boyd Bramlett of Rocky Face, GA, Helen Miller of Edison, NJ, Linda McBrayer of Calhoun, GA; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jimmy and Evelyn Parson of Dalton, GA, Kenneth and Vernice Parson of Chatsworth, GA, Billy and Mary Jo Parson of Dalton, GA; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Roger and Pat Palmer of Tunnel Hill, GA, Mike and Sue Palmer, Sam and Phyllis Palmer all of Chatsworth, GA; special nieces, Leta Newman of Rocky Face, GA, and Gail Jones of Chatsworth, GA; several other nieces and nephews.

Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Gwennell Parson Palmer will be held Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Edwin Puckett, Billy Ray and David Gibson speaking.  She will be laid to rest at Ponders Whitfield Memorial Gardens with her nephews serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Monday and after 10:00 a.m. Tuesday until the service hour.
