Mrs. Gussie Lee Locke Jones Grizzle age 79, of Tunnel Hill, Georgia, departed this life Thursday, December 9, 2021 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born September 4, 1942 in Dalton, GA a daughter of the late Frank and Lucy Presswood Locke. She was also preceded in death by the father of her children, Wilburn Jones, second husband Leroy Grizzle, daughter, Teresa Parker, brothers, William Locke, Milburn Locke, James Locke, Melvin Locke, sisters, Marie Jenkins, Mildred Clayton, son-in-law Amador Salaices.

She is survived by her children, David Jones of Tunnel Hill, GA, Danny and Sherry Jones of Calhoun, GA, Tina and Dan Akins,  Tammy Salaices of Dalton, GA, Tracey and Doug Frix of Ball Ground, GA, stepsons, Johnny Grizzle, Keith Grizzle, Michael Grizzle, Junior Grizzle all of Ellijay, GA; son-in-law, Luke Parker of Dalton, GA; sister, Laura Grooms of Dalton, GA; sister-in-law, Ovilee Locke of Dalton, GA; special friends, Tim and Regina Roberson of Tunnel Hill, GA; 11 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Gussie Lee Locke Jones Grizzle will be held Thursday December 16, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Jerry Frazier and Reverend Tim Roberson officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday and after 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Valley Baptist Church Cemetery in Gilmer County with Manuel Salaices, Gabriel Salaices, Kenneth Frix, Dusty Jones, Shane Jones and Ryan Jones serving as pallbearers.
