Mr. Guinn Vinyard Newman, age 87, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life, Tuesday Morning surrounded by his family. He was born May 16, 1931 in Turtletown, TN a son of the late Dewey Sr. and Minnie Fortner Newman. He was also preceded in death by his son, Guinn Michael Newman, brothers and sisters-in-law, Dewey Newman Jr., John and Mildred Newman, Christina Newman, sisters and brothers-in-law, Leia and Ed Palmer, Lillie Smith, Hazel and Jack Weeks, Delano Hughes. He proudly served his country in the United States Army.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth Newman of the residence; sister, Carzell Hughes of Cohutta, GA; brothers and sister-in-law, James Newman of Ducktown, TN, Jimmy Newman of Chatsworth, GA, Carl Edward and Lillie Newman of Dalton, GA; very special nephew and niece, Charlie O'Daniel and Taylor Sutton.

At his request Mr. Newman will be cremated and no services will be held.
