Mr. Grover Nelson Hensley, age 75, of Tunnel Hill, Georgia, departed this life on Friday, March 7, 2025, at his home surrounded by his loving family.  He was born March 5, 1950 in Rose Hill, Virginia, a son of the late Elmer and Edna Dean Hensley. He was also preceded in death by his brothers Walter Hensley, Armer Hensley, grandson, Michael Josh Tackett.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Carolyn Welch Hensley of the residence; son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Jami Hensley of Calhoun, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Shawna and Mike Tackett, Angie and Adam Howard of Tunnel Hill, GA, Melissa and Mark Mayberry of Lafayette, GA; sisters and brothers-in-law, Debbie and Jim Stewart of Dalton, GA, Joann Napier, Anita and Danny Boling of Harlan, KY; brother and sister-in-law, Randy and Della Hensley of Dallas, GA, 10 grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Service to celebrate the life of Mr. Grover Nelson Hensley will be held Wednesday March 12, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Denny Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the Ponders Colonial Hills Memorial Park with Jeff Hensley, Adam Howard, Mike Tackett, Mark Mayberry, Gage Brown and Shawn Tackett serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
