Mr. Gordon Lee "G L" Albertson Jr., age 86 of Dalton, GA, departed this life Sunday August 19, 2018 at the local hospital. He was born March 8, 1932 in Dalton, GA, a son of the late Gordon Albertson Sr. and Ina Mae Weaver Albertson. He was also preceded in death by his brother, John A. Albertson, sister, Callie Ruth Marrow, sister-in-law, Alva Albertson. He was a member of the Eleventh Avenue Baptist Church.

He is survived by his loving wife of forty three years, Maxine Long Albertson of the residence; daughters and sons-in-law, Pam and Ken Bevil of Dalton, GA, Trena and David Humphries of Newnan, GA, Debbie and Eddie Derreberry of Rocky Face, GA, Vickie Bookhardt of West Armuchee Valley, GA, Teresia and Steve Bass of Resaca, GA; son and daughter-in-law, Bryan and Jackie Dill of Chatsworth, GA; brother, Bennie Albertson of Dalton, GA; sister-in-law, Peggy Albertson of Dalton, GA; brother-in-law, Paul Marrow of Dalton, GA; nine grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Service to celebrate the life of Mr. Gordon Lee "G L" Albertson Jr. will be held Thursday August 23, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. from the Eleventh Avenue Baptist Church with Reverend Ronald Guffey officiating. He will lie in state at the church from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Thursday. Interment will follow in the Pine Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with Ryan Bevil, Matt Bevil, Justin Witt, Johnnie Yother, Charlie Cox and Don Anderson serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
