Glennie Chance Flood, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Friday evening, July 31, 2015 at the local hospital. Glennie was preceded in death by her parents, Glenn and Bell Joiner Chance, sisters, Edna Deverell, Ethel Gibson and Pauline Goins and brothers and sister-in-law, J.B. and Geneva Chance and Leonard Chance. Glennie was a member of the Antioch Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Joan Flood; son and daughter-in-law, Mack and April Flood, Jr. all of Dalton, GA; grandson and his wife, Joshua and Brandy Flood of Jefferson, GA; brother and sister-in-law, Gene and Becky Chance of Dalton, GA; several nieces and nephews.
Service to celebrate the life of Glennie Chance Flood will be held Sunday, August 2, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. at Ponders Melrose Chapel with her pastor, Reverend Donald Cantrell officiating. She will be laid to rest at the Antioch Baptist Church. The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel after 12:00 p.m. noon Sunday until the service hour.
