Obituary

Mr. Glenn Edwin Pair, age 66, of Dalton, Georgia departed this life, Saturday morning, February 25, 2017 at the local hospital. Glenn was born October 4, 1950 in Albertville, Alabama, son of the late Sherman Pair and Edna Haring. He was also preceded in death by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Luther O. and Pauldin Bagley, a sister, Laura Neal and brothers, John Sutton and Jerry Pair. Glenn was a 1967 graduate of Albertville High School. He proudly served his country in the Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. Once a Marine, always a Marine.

Glenn was a very caring person, especially when it came to his family, friends and co-workers. Many of his employee's would often talk about how he would do anything to help them. He was proud to be a Marine and was an active member of the Dalton Marine Corp League Detachment #1309 where he held the offices of Judge Advocate and Junior Vice-Commandant. He was heavily involved in the Toys for Tots and was a member of Center Point Baptist Church. He was also an active member of Conasauga Kidney Care. He was an avid Alabama fan.

He is survived by his loving wife of thirty-nine years, Judy Bagley Pair; son, George Henderson; granddaughter, Hannah Henderson both of Calhoun, GA; sister, Connie Trewhitt; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Lamar and Dorine Bagley all of Chattanooga, TN; nieces and nephews, Nathan Evers, Chris Bagley, Greg Bagley, Michelle Evers, Jennifer Burnette, and Jerri Frost; a number of great-nieces and great-nephews.

Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Glenn Edwin Pair will be held Thursday, March 2, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Matt Futch and his lifelong friend, Reverend Russell Dorsett officiating. Entombment will follow in the Celebration Mausoleum at Ponders Whitfield Memorial Gardens with members of the Dalton Marine Corps League Detachment #1309, Kelly Johnson, Barry Robbins, Mark Millican, Mike Laudenslayer, Todd Brock, and Mickey Brock serving as pallbearers. Military honors will be provided by the Marine Corps.

Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to Conasauga Kidney Care, 1506 Broadrick Dr. Dalton, Georgia, 30720.

The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 1, 2017 and after 11:00 a.m. Thursday until the service hour.
